The brand

It all started in 1933, when Sol Koffler invested all his savings in creating a luggage brand in Providence, Rhode Island. His dream: to offer a sturdy piece of luggage for $1. Over time, the brand became established worldwide with the increase in air traffic and new production techniques. In the 80s and 90s, the company continued to produce hard-sided suitcases and also launched into the soft-sided luggage segment in response to growing demand. The public was looking for durable, good quality and very resistant luggage.

And finally, in 1993 the brand was bought by Samsonite, marking the beginning of the union between two of the biggest luggage brands in the world.
